There is a saying that bluegrass is not a color, it's a feeling. For those who frequent Foggy Hollow Bluegrass Gatherin', it's the feeling that keeps them coming back.

When David and Glen were dreaming of having a festival that's what they had in mind. They made that dream come true in August of 1992 by organizing the first gatherin'.

The first weekend in June and the last weekend in September every year, the quite little community of Webster's Chapel, located just outside Jacksonville halfway between Gadsden and Anniston, will come alive with the string sounds of bluegrass - banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and bass. Thousands flock to the 12-acre farm equipped with recreational vehicle hookups and campsites. There's a 1200-square foot stage where bluegrass greats such as Alison Krauss, Tony Rice, IIIrd Tyme Out and many, many others have performed.

Along with some of the greatest National acts, local acts are always a treat. The host band Foggy Hollow entertains on both days of the festival that is put on by Tazz Productions, a company that was formed by David Boley and Glen Williams in 1988 and incorporated in 1992.

The stage isn't the only place there will be talent. Campsite and parking lot pickin' draws almost as much attention as the stage performers, as bluegrass lovers harmonize and play music with old friends and strangers alike in mini-concerts all over the place.

Music isn't the only thing festival fans enjoy. Show goers with a hankerin' for some good barbeque, sausage dogs, hot dogs, and hamburgers are in for a treat at the concession area where you always see a friendly face and someone to visit with.

At the Foggy Hollow booth one can sign up to be on the mailing list for upcoming events, get in on the raffle and purchase commemorative "Foggy Hollow-wear".

On Saturday the children can enjoy a stage set just for them. There will be Jugglin' with Tazz, Story Telling, Make and Take, Music and stealing the show is Wacky the Clown, who biannually show off his unique talents of magic tricks, face painting and making almost any kind of balloon animal. He also wows the children as well as the adults with his humor and grace.

We encourage first-timers to bring lawn chairs and rain gear, as the show goes on - rain or shine. We also would like to emphasize that Foggy Hollow Bluegrass Gatherin' has a family atmosphere and all ages are welcome to enjoy the peaceful farm and relaxed setting of the two day event. And to help us preserve the family atmosphere we ask everyone to comply with the rules and always respect your neighbor. And most of all HAVE FUN!

We hope to see you at all of our upcoming events!
